Video consultation platform for primary care – get involved

The Digital Transformation Team is looking for clinicians to get involved with the selection of the video consultation platform for primary care. The team is working on a review of video platforms used in primary, secondary and community care. As part of this work, the Digital Transformation Team has interviewed a number of clinicians, administrators and practice managers to assess the business need within primary care for video platforms e.g. accuRx and MS Teams. The same work is ongoing at Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust and Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

For the next stage of the review, the team is looking for GPs, nurses, pharmacists and other clinicians within primary care to take part in a clinical review group which will shortlist and evaluate solutions against the requirements for primary care and make sure they meet your needs. You would need to attend a short-listing meeting of around an hour and some provider demos over the next two months. If you would like to be involved, please email scwcsu.glosdt@nhs.net by Friday 30th October.

Microsoft Monitoring Agent

From 1st November 2020, any Windows 7 devices that have not been switched on or connected to the network for the latest patches / upgrades will be removed from the Advanced Threat Protection platform mandated by NHS Digital and as such the equivalent Windows 10 licence will also be removed. Practices that are still on Windows 7 devices must ensure machines are connected to the network for the Microsoft monitoring update.
