Cinapsis – call connection issues
The Cinapsis Project Team pride themselves on always striving to give the best customer support to both referring clinicians and the specialist clinicians providing the advice and guidance and referral management service via Cinapsis.

We are aware that this week, a number of calls for acute medicine and the COVID-19 Adult Admissions service have not connected successfully to the acute medical specialist clinicians via Cinapsis. Calls could fail to connect for a number of reasons, for example, the specialist clinician may be on another call and or in full PPE, making it difficult for the clinician to answer the call in time.

The on call rota is currently being reviewed to ensure there is sufficient capacity to deal with these additional calls. If you have been unable to get through, please do call back and the team will do their utmost to respond. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and continued support in using Cinapsis.

Ardens - Activating localised content in EMIS Web
Ardens (EMIS), in partnership with Gloucestershire CCG, have produced two Gloucestershire Locally Commissioned Service templates and a suite of searches as well as adding localised sections to some of the standard templates:

  • GCCG Master LCS Template
  • GCCG Minor Surgery/Joint Injections

The templates and searches contain all of the service specification codes required and will support more accurate data entry and extraction. Please watch this video for further information: www.Ardens.live/gccg

To enable the localised content in the Ardens templates, you will need to batch add a tagging protocol for all patients within EMIS. This will add a visibility rule trigger to each patient record so that you’re able to view the Locally Commissioned Service content specific to Gloucestershire. The instruction document which can be found in the Clinical IT page contains a video which explains the process more fully.

If you have Resource Publisher, the tagging protocol will be automatically available. If you have Template Manager, Ardens will import the tagging protocol for you, and you should have received an email once this has been done.

If you need further assistance on the above process, please contact the Ardens EMIS Web support team at support-emis@ardens.org.uk.
