Active Primary Care
Have you heard about the Health & Hustle? The Health & Hustle has been set up for organisational groups across Gloucestershire to support staff and patient groups become active and healthy, recognising that one-size does not fit all.
This initiative is open to all NHS staff and some patient groups across Gloucestershire. All challenges are virtual allowing us to reach out across Gloucestershire. To date, 600+ NHS staff from all partner organisations has joined. If practices are working towards health & well-being accreditation with Healthy Life Styles, the Hustle will support elements of the accreditation process.
If you have a Fitbit, why not join the Primary Care Team or if you have a minimum of 10 staff in a practice, you could have your own practice team. If you do not have a Fitbit we have a STRAVA club that staff can join and take part in events.
If you are recovering from COVID then read this article on how activity is supporting rehabilitation.
To find out more about what Health & Hustle click here or take a few moments to watch the film produced by Fitbit Health Solutions.
If anyone wishes to join please email your Fitbit mail address to kevin.gannaway-pitts1@nhs.net to receive an invite from NHS Gloucestershire to join.

New Internet Links Go Live Advance Warning
A new internet link and firewall is being implemented to support and improve Internet speed, VPN solutions and direct access across the County on Wednesday 1st July from 6am.  Countywide IT Services (CITS) are replacing ageing infrastructure across the county, which routes all internet based traffic.

This excludes clinical applications such as spine based systems, GP Clinical systems and ESR, which are provided through N3, which is being replaced by HSCN throughout July and August.  Extensive testing has taken place across the county currently using the new infrastructure and link.

The implementation will impact the following practices and the CCG Sanger House:
  • Churchdown Surgery
  • Holts Health Centre
  • Lydney Surgery
  • Hadwen Surgery
  • St Paul's Medical Centre (The Royal Well Surgery, Corinthian Surgery, Portland Practice, St Catherine's Surgery and St George's Surgery)
  • Springbank Surgery
  • Hester’s Way – Healthy Living Centre
Note:  Anyone using VPN such as Always On will also be impacted during the duration of the upgrade.

Following go live, testing of applications and services will continue in order to resolve any issues as a priority. Countywide IT Services are managing the project on behalf of the county and will have a dedicated team at Victoria Warehouse with local teams to resolve any issues as a result of the migration.

All internet issues during ‘Go Live’ are to be reported through the CIT Service Desk 0300 422 2808 (Option 3) relates to issues during ‘Go Live’
