NHS Digital have asked us to inform practices that prescriptions created using an updated smartcard with the SHA2 certificate are not able to be dispensed at a Lloyds Pharmacy and are returning an 'invalid digital signature' error. The smart card certificate authority has been successfully rolled back to SHA1. NHS Digital continues to work with McKesseon to identify the root cause and is contacting the affected prescribing services with a workaround whilst monitoring the uptake and implementation of this.
